- John Waters
I will miss you Steve Jobs

Here is the letter A.
Happy Halloween :]
The zombie letter B.
The zombie letter C.

Today’s quote is by one of my favorite children’s novelist so, he is definitely a great scholar.
“Do you solemnly swear to put that bottom in the air?” - TECH N9NE
This holiday, at Gentleman Scholar, we suggest you bounce that bootie. Responsibly.
Conceived By Fellow Scholar Heather….and Intern Joe.
This week’s quote is dedicated to one of the greatest designers, Paul Rand.
“Design is everything. Everything!”
Made by your fellow lady scholar,
Heather-Lynn
Happy Valentines Day Yall! I wanted to illustrate something with flowers…and love.
I decided to create a typographic treatment with the word love but with this piece, you gotta look a little closer into the details.
I made the cover this month’s mixtape for then gentscholar website!

Today at Gentleman Scholar, we are celebrating the amazing phenomenon of the the vernal cycle. You are probably wondering what that means. I made a poster explaining it all for you! Simply put it means, “When days and nights is equal.”
As you can tell the earth in this illustration is in total harmony and so are we here at gentscholar.
I did a guest appearance on my good friend Lauren’s blog. Her illustration on prometheus. :] Please check out her blog and all her amazing work.
“Prometheus Posters 2 Different Ways”
Sunday March, 26 2012
Sorry for the late post dudes, I have been fighting a sickness, but good thing I finished this one early on. Plus, I have a surprise to make up fot my lateness. I got my good friend, badass designer and illustrator Heather Aquino to contribute to this Sunday’s post! Heather is based out of California and is pretty talented to say the least so I was stoked when she said she was in!
We both did variations on a poster for Prometheus! Ahhhh! I know everyone and their momma can’t wait to see this film so I thought I’d torture some souls by making posters to remind you its still some months away. So you get a double whami of poster love from Heather and I.
Heather’s poster is up first. When asked what inspired her to make this piece, Heather said: “I wanted to explore a different perspective on what they have for their current posters, like an overhead shot.”I think this poster does a great job in conveying that eerie tone with the choice of colors, but also the overhead shot makes the scene feel more ominous in a way, like the surrounding pods are consuming the character. Great Job Heather!
Please check out Heather’s website and blog guys, you won’t be disappointed!
